Out of 8 games, only two were not made by EA and THQ. (Let's make games for the 360 first, then port them as good as we can on the PS3). And since they made twice as many titles for the 360, so far, than the PS3, it's already amazing that most of those lousy ports look almost as good as the original 360 titles.
The last two titles are holding their ground quite nicely, again, even if those two devs have been making games for the 360 longer.

It's rather impressive to see that all three consoles get about the same attachement rates... Apart from the Halo effect, it's a quite interesting match between the two big consoles:

Why is it only about the PS3??? Absolutely no store had a special discount on ANY consoles on black friday in my area. What, they are expecting people to wait in line at 5:00 a.m for a store to open so they can pick up a $70 item at half price, then, on the spur of the moment, buy a $400 console that is not on sale???
Even games were not on sale. Well, not more than usual. So that could have been the incentive. Go to the store, get the game for $10 less, so you buy the $400...

They take about the same wattage, power wise. 360 has a little edge because it has an external power supply. But if about 200 watts of power is going in, then equivalent BTU has to come out, for both consoles.

Not even one single components around. So it's not assembly, or repair.
Could be QA or QC dept... Quality Assurance or Quality Control. Those would only take a sample of a PS3 batch, and make sure everything is up to par. If not, the whole batch get canned.
Trust me, we are talking surface mounted components here. Not many hands touch those until a console is ready to ship...
Simply because people who are voting do not know anything about the war going on. What's interesting in this case is the fact that the choosen hd-dvd player (which are normally less expensive than Bluray most of the time) is the most expensive item you have to vote for. Since people do not know anything about the war, they simply vote for the most expensive item. Even better, people who have heard a little bit about the HD war may just remember that the player for the best format is normally...

Yep, the 360 had NO COMPETITION for the first year!!! Why would they have done anything. Yet, the PS3 sold has many console in it's first year, despite the fact that it was more expensive... I could have written it myself. Bang on in my book
Got about 2 seconds of tearing after 15 minutes, and saw a line across the screen maybe twice while I was playing my third session (about 3 hours sessions). Line could have been a tearing trying to creep up. So after 8 hours, no freeze at all, and just awesome. (I will never complaint for one tearing and a few lines every 8 hours if the rest of the game is just awesome...).
I'm playing in 1080 by the way. I find the smoke, fog, dust (when walking) just a tidbit better in 1080...
Running it on a PS3 at 1080i (Somehow, I think it does look slightly better on my Panasonic than 720p)
So far, got about 2 seconds of screen tearing not long after the beginning of the game and that's it! Otherwise, for me, it is just awesome so far. Nothing else to report. I've even did a lot of horse riding (there's a bug reported there as well, but it's just plain nice) and so far, nothing, just perfect all the way. No way somebody can survive that long in a house that dirty. If Sony would have waited just a month or two, nobody could have still been alive to claim it back... They could then have just burned it with hazardous wastes.
Game is just awesome. Sadly, online match last about 30 minutes... You do not want to know how many matches I've played so far, but let just say that everything else is piling up and sleep time is going down...
Only word of caution, cards may be hard to find in some area... And as Mattolla said, impossible to find in Canada.

None are perfect in my book... I would rate both controllers about the same (for quite different reasons), probably around 8 but likely less... There's so much that could be done to improve both. I'm happy I can play with both, but I'm not sure why people are so crazy about the actual controllers. Sometime I wish they would get less consoles SKU out, and make more controllers versions. After all, nobody has the same hands... But guess what, we're only getting new colors : )
You posted this article, you complained about people bashing other consoles when none did, you said you own all three consoles, but nowhere, did you say anything about your PS3 not working anymore...
I know that if I would have posted such an article, instead of somehow assuming that people were bashing other consoles, I would have just replied: "Like most people and as expected, my PS3 as not bricked". You didn't. Is it me, or this makes you look like you don't have...
